The Decision Support System for Acute Poisoning project is supported under the 1507 – SME R&D Start-up Support Program. The goal is to design a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) that will help physicians diagnose toxicological reactions in the human body caused by drug poisoning, based on developing symptoms.
The targeted CDSS will offer physicians possible solutions for both diagnosis and treatment — following rules derived from diagnosis and treatment guidelines — so that factors that can negatively impact human-factor-based decisions during routine examinations are minimised, and physicians can arrive at faster, more accurate decisions.
